The Village Hall

There has been a Village Hall in Trefonen since about 1946.  The current Hall, built in 1991 on land leased from Shropshire Council, was paid for by a combination of community fundraising efforts and grants. It has continued to develop.  Some years later a large storeroom was added to the rear of the building. Developments since 2010 have included a major extension and refit of the kitchen, the creation of a bar area, internal re-decoration, the adaptation of the storeroom to provide two changing rooms and shower facilities.  In the summer of 2015 a terraced area was built adjoining the Hall, overlooking the Field.  All this work would not have been possible without the fundraising efforts and volunteer labour provided by local people and clubs.

It has become the heart of the village, boasting extensive modern facilities, hosting regular village events, providing facilities for local clubs, groups and charity events.  The hall is also available for event hire, providing a fully equipped kitchen, quality tables and chairs, ample parking and disabled facilities.
