Dear Brothers and Sisters in our community,

Following announcements by the Government to try and prevent the further spread of the Coronavirus, the Church of England has suspended all services, gatherings and activities in its name until further notice.  Sadly, this means that most, if not all, of the future activities detailed in the April magazine will not take place.  This measure is being taken to keep members of our community – i.e. you – as safe from harm as we can.

This does not mean that the Church will close.  Our church buildings will be open daily for private prayer, for you to pick up prayer resources and pew sheets which will be available for you to take home to use if you so wish.

We are aiming to offer service booklets, Sunday readings and a short homily every week to anyone who wishes it.  These will be available via email, social media and in hard copy by surface mail where necessary.  We will also be offering pastoral support in the form of regular phone calls and a prayer chain for anyone would like prayers to be said for individuals who are ill or in any other need, be they local or further away.

If you would like to avail yourself of any of these resources, would like more information or to know about prayer or pastoral support, then please contact Revd. Kathy in the first instance: T: 01691 590025; M: 07944 504330; e: kathsoutherton@hotmail.com

Church as we know it may be suspended, but God isn’t.  The church is the people; they may be scattered but they are not abandoned.

Stay safe and every blessing,

Revd. Kathy
